Install

OAG Adapter

Included Adapter

Generally, a filter wheel or filter drawer is placed between the OAG and the camera. However, if you are not using either, you can install the included 20mm adapter/extender to maintain equal backfocus between the imaging and guiding cameras.

The adapter has an internal M48x0.75 thread, allowing you to either install a 2-inch mounted filter directly inside it or connect it to a camera (or another adapter) that has an external M48x0.75 thread.

Installation

In the last part of this video, you can see how the OAG is connected to a filter wheel.

If you don't have a filter wheel and want to use the OAG, we recommend using the OGMA Universal Filter Drawer in place of the filter wheel. It is the easiest way to ensure that the OAG's prism will be placed correctly.
