Description

Get sharper images from full spectrum cameras.

This filter is a must-have for CMOS and CCD cameras that don't have an infrared (IR) protective window above the image sensor or cameras that have been modified to become full spectrum sensitive. It is also useful as a luminance filter for monochrome cameras.

The state-of-the-art manufacturing process and the final physical characteristics make the OGMA UV/IR Cut Filter compatible with astronomy applications. It is also an excellent filter for general video and photography applications.

Since different wavelengths of light focus at different distances, to prevent blurred images while using a full-spectrum sensitive camera, you will need to use either a narrow bandpass filter or a UV-IR cut filter like this one.

Even though each manufactured batch differs slightly; this is a typical transmission curve of our OGMA UV IR Cut filter.

As you can see following emission lines that are important for astrophotography are passing at > 95%.

  • Hydrogen Alpha (H-Alpha): 656nm
  • Sulphur II (SII): 672nm
  • Nitrogen II (NII): 654nm and 658nm

Warranty

OGMA warrants your product to be free from defects in materials and workmanship for one year. OGMA will repair or replace a product or part which, upon inspection by OGMA, is found to be defective during one year following the date that you receive the equipment.
